From Nursing to Energy Healing: Lacey's Journey and the Empowerment of First Moon Circles

In this episode of ‘The Soul Call with Kelly B’, we welcome Lacey, a registered nurse turned energy healer who started her own business in 2021 while living in Australia. Lacey's journey from a healthcare professional to a holistic healer is both inspiring and transformative.

After healing her own chronic illness through natural and holistic therapies, Lacey found it increasingly difficult to continue working in traditional healthcare. Despite her success and stability as a nurse, the call to embrace a different path grew stronger. Letting go of her "nurse" identity was challenging, especially as the primary breadwinner, but fate had other plans. When her nursing career ended due to her choice for body autonomy, Lacey had to quickly adapt to entrepreneurship to support herself.

Today, Lacey brings her extensive skills and knowledge back to Scotland. She is a Reiki Master & Teacher, an AromaTouch Practitioner, and a certified First Moon Circle Facilitator based in Dundee. Lacey's dedication to holistic healing extends to her volunteer work with a menopause group in Angus and soon another in Dundee.

For those unfamiliar, First Moon Circles are empowering events designed for girls aged 9-12, providing them with holistic, positive, and inclusive education about the menstrual cycle, puberty, and self-care. These circles celebrate the rite of passage of menarche (the first period) and aim to minimise and heal cultural menstrual shame. First Moon Circles offer an expanded education beyond mainstream school curricula and provide a unique opportunity for mothers and families to bond deeply with their child during this pivotal stage.

Lacey's ambition is to expand these circles throughout Scotland. Currently, she stands as the only certified First Moon Circle Facilitator in the country, bringing much-needed education and celebration of this significant life event to young girls and their families.
